In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient and safe packaging of our products, adhering to strict GMP and regulatory standards.
Position : Packaging line operator
Shift : Afternoons
Hours : 3 pm - 11 pm, Monday to Friday
Salary : $20-25 / hour plus 7% shift premium, depending on experience

Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include :
Packaging products in various formats according to company GMP, SOP requirements, and regulatory standards.
Adhering to established GMP and safe work practices and procedures, utilizing required clothing, personal protection, and safety equipment.
Reporting any accidents, incidents, injuries, or illnesses immediately, and notifying the Packaging Supervisor of any hazards, unsafe acts, or conditions in the workplace.
Performing on-line inspections of packaging material and product to ensure quality standards are met, exercising "Right First Time" documentation practices on all documentation.
Taking action to inform Line Leader / Shift Lead when problems or quality issues arise.
Operating equipment in an efficient and safe manner, performing visual checks of equipment, machine guarding, and materials before, during, and after packaging runs to alert Line Leader / Shift Lead of issues, bottlenecks, and equipment problems.
Exhibiting strong mechanical aptitude by performing lot changes, fixing equipment issues, and operating all packaging equipment within specifications.
Supporting team goals on assigned packaging lines to meet daily schedules, optimize change over time, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
Assigned tasks related to the changeover include sweeping and mopping the floors, wiping down / cleaning exterior and non-critical portions of equipment / lines, assisting the cleaners and mechanics as required with general organization and set up of change-over parts, cleaning supplies, and components.
Contributing to achieving Lean Goals and continuous improvement. Assisting in the development and implementation of new initiatives to improve quality and efficiency in the packaging department.
Maintaining the work area to ensure cleanliness and safety. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education and 1-2 years of pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience preferred.
Demonstrate good written and verbal English communication skills required, with the ability to read and comprehend SOPs and other written documentation.
Ability to use basic arithmetic accurately and complete simple forms / records.
Previous experience working in a GMP / pharmaceutical or production environment is an asset.
Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary.
Flexibility with the ability to adapt, respond quickly, and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
