RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and provide direction for a team of temporary employees (anywhere from 1 to 6 at a time depending on business levels)
- Operate powder coating equipment (spray gun and booth)
- Apply high quality powder coating to small automotive parts
- Operate finishing oven for freshly coated parts
- Load parts onto racks to prepare them for paint
- Plan daily production schedule and assign tasks accordingly
- Provide a last line of defense for product quality before packing
- Receive raw products once weekly
- Prepare finished parts for shipping (fill boxes with product, arrange boxes on skids, wrap skids) and use forklift to load finished skids into trucks to be shipped
- Arrange for restock of supplies, contact contractors if there are mechanical issues with equipment, arrange for racking to be sent out for cleaning as required
- Occasionally travel to parent facility when required to support another branch of the business
- Additional related duties may be required depending on the needs of the business
QUALIFICATIONS
- MUST have a minimum of 2 years' experience operating powder coating equipment
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment where weekly quotas must be met is a huge asset and preferred
- Experience with quality control and holds an unwavering commitment to product quality
- Being a driven and motivated self-starter who requires little oversight
- Easy-going personality who gets along well with others but can run a team effectively
- Valid driver's license
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Apply coatings such as paint, powder, or varnish to metal parts and products.
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical treatments.
- Operate spray guns and other equipment to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
- Monitor drying times and conditions to ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet specifications.
- Document work performed and materials used accurately.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a coater, painter, or in industrial painting roles.
- Proficiency in using spray guns and other painting equipment.
- Knowledge of different coating materials and their applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of work.
