Join our Global Technology Services Management and Support Team!
Collaborating with the Director of Business Continuity. You will contribute to the delivery and provide advice, assistance and support to other unit teams.
How will you contribute?
- Deliver and maintain a practical and effective Disaster Recovery program that ensures our critical services, systems, networks, and information assets are available whenever our business clients need them.
- Partner with IT and Project Management colleagues / vendors to ensure required technical assets are resilient and systems are built with DR requirements embedded.
You’ll be a DR Domain Expert on projects that use various project management methodologies and current technologies.
- Work with incident management and other BC / DR professionals across the company in delivering and gathering timely information and providing guidance while managing the response to planned or unplanned events.
- Develop, schedule and conduct DR exercises in accordance with segment goals and Global standards. Leverage Manulife’s global scale and work with IT partners worldwide to constantly improve the exercise process and recoverability of systems.
Help engage business users to participate in exercises.
- Develop and maintain recovery plans in an enterprise BCM planning system. Follow Global standards and share processes with your peers within the organization.
- Work with other IRM teams to identify areas of program improvement and drive execution through special projects and general working sessions, including but not limited to gap analyses and mitigation, improvement of tools and processes, etc.
- Maintain third party vendors records in our DR plan repository to identify dependencies and assign them to the applications that requires their services.
Collaborate with the Vendor Information Security Management team to assess the vendor's DR plan for compliance with Manulife's DR requirements.
- Provide reporting metrics / analytics including Key Risk Indicators, compliance reporting and dashboards.
- Ability to conduct efficient and effective meetings with a large audience at different levels, technical or non-technical.
- Effectively connect with external auditors to explain and defend the DR program.

What we are looking for
- 2-4 years+’ Disaster Recovery experience encompassing all aspects of data center infrastructure including core infrastructure, network, storage, etc.
- Understanding of VMware Cloud technologies and recovery alternatives.
- Experience using Fusion Risk Management tool, Archer and ServiceNow an asset.
- Financial Services industry experience preferred.
- Professional certification in BCM ABCP, CBCP, MBCI or MBCP a plus, but not a requirement.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Ability to build relationships, engage and influence others.
- Achievement oriented with project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple priorities within tight timelines while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work off-hours to help manage incidents or connect with colleagues in different time zones.
- Strong social skills, including ability to be drive understanding and maintain professionalism when communicating across geographical and cultural boundaries.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Toronto, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
$74,270.00 CAD - $137,930.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
