- Set schedule of Monday to Friday 6am-2 : 30pm while working in the DC, and 6am start time when covering the delivery truck.
What we are looking for :
Under the direction of the Distribution Center Manager, the DC Associate / Backup Delivery Driver is mainly responsible for the receiving and shipping of products, as well as acting as the company’s Delivery Driver, covering sick time, vacations and other leaves.
Other Duties and responsibilities may include, but not limited to :
- Act as a backup to the Delivery Driver on an as needed basis
- Accurately pick, scan, pack & prepare for delivery orders for retail and mobile stores
- Receive inbound merchandise, check for discrepancies and accurately separate special requests from the order
- Move inbound stock to the appropriate staging area and place stock on shelves. Ensures area is always accessible and secure
- Execute stock transfer requests initiated by retail & mobile stores
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Identify overstock for put away
- Maintain internal record-keeping systems
- Maintain storage area, rotate stock as required, replace and repair damaged packaging
- Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure that their expectations are being met within the required timelines
- Other assignments on an as needed basis
Qualifications :
- Must be available to start work at 6am Monday to Friday
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- At least two years of experience in a truck driving position
- Valid G license with a clear driver's abstract
- Hydraulic lift gate experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly, long periods of standing, lots of walking, bending, twisting, squatting and climbing on a ladder up to ten (10) feet in height
- Flexibility to work different shift depending on the DC's requirements
- Experience using equipment such as a dolly, pump trucks, tailgate lift, computer terminal, printer, calculator, photocopier, and fax machine is preferred
