Job Summary
Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the successful co-op student will be responsible for verifying and measuring incoming parts that are flagged for inspection to make sure company standards are met and specifications are matched against engineering drawings.
The co-op student will also be working with the team members on calibrating shop equipment.
Work Term : Winter 2025 Co-op (Jan - April)
Work Arrangement : Day Shift, On-Site, 5 days per week
Responsibilities
- Complete a 4-month co-op work term for Winter 2025 work term
- Approval of finished products for shipment involving visual verification, mechanical inspection and electrical testing
- Calibration of mechanical and electrical instrument measuring equipment
- Participate, when necessary, in troubleshooting and problem solving
- Read and interpret part and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with assemblers and production personnel on quality inspections
- Record and maintain inspection and calibration records
- Collect and summarize quality reports monthly
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree / diploma in Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineering or Quality Assurance
- A team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen interest in design and manufacturing
- Some manufacturing experience is an asset
