ROLE DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for the effective functioning of the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment for the Edmonton South Sofina Foods Plant.
DUTIES
- Accountable for the effective functioning of the electrical systems or mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in the facility.
- Accountable for the effective installation of new equipment or the installation, welding and fabrication of new equipment.
- Responsible for identifying and requesting proper parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Assisting MP2 Coordinator to ensure accurate and sufficient parts inventory.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation as required.
- Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
- Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.
- Other duties, related to the position, will be assigned as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate in Alberta is required.
- Minimum two years experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and machining experience or mechanical, electrical and refrigeration experience.
- An ability to use power and manual tools required.
- A 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (Alberta) is an asset.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
New wage rate : $45.77 / hour + Shift Premium, Benefits, Company-Matched Pension, Sick Days, Personal days, annual increases and more.
Shift : Currently have 2 positions available on the following 8 hour shifts :
Monday to Friday, 2 : 30 PM / 3 : 00 PM start, plus daily overtime and Saturday overtime as needed
