THE ROLE
As a forklift driver you will be working in a steel manufacturing facility, preparing steel to be shipped out. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mid size facility for a reputable and leading company in steel distribution industry.
You will be working in a team environment on the day or afternoon shift. This is a growing company that is very busy right now.
This position is located in Hamilton on a bus route.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct a daily pre-inspection and operational check of the equipment and work area before the start of the shift, and before or after each break or lunch schedule, or more often if needed.
- Record pre-inspection results and submit weekly.
- Material Handling using forklift
- Loading of the trucks
- General warehouse duties
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years experience as a shipper
- Must have a forklift licence that is current
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Steel manufacturing experience
- Work safely and follow all company policies, procedures, and work practices
- Have a great team attitude and willingness to help
- Good communication skills
