They are currently seeking a talented onsite Data Management Lead to join their team.
Role Overview :
The Data Management Lead will possess expertise in Investment Data, including market data from vendors like Bloomberg, and a thorough understanding of investment instruments, particularly Equities and Fixed Income products.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of data elements such as security master attributes, pricing details, risk and analytics, benchmarks, portfolio evaluations, performance, FX rates, etc.
Main Objective :
As the data owner for the firm’s market, transaction, and operational data across all asset classes and product types, the incumbent will work closely with analysts and traders in Fixed Income and Equity teams, as well as Business Analysts, Developers, and Trade Operations to support company objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Requirements Gathering : Work with market data consumers to understand and gather requirements, producing business specifications, functional design, and associated documentation.
- Data Analysis : Analyze market data requirements for all investible asset classes, identify relevant data sources, conduct data comparisons, evaluate data qualities, and create optimum data flows.
- Problem Solving : Understand problem definitions, address problems systematically, provide options, and recommend solutions.
- Documentation : Document market data onboarding specifications and coordinate delivery with the technology team.
- Risk Monitoring : Assist with front office risk monitoring and reporting, including writing queries to extract information from databases for screening / investment decision-making / valuation / tasks / reports.
- Data Validation : Ensure data validation throughout the testing and implementation phase to meet business and functional requirements.
- Best Practices : Adhere to and develop best practices supporting internal Project Management Standards.
- Business Reporting : Ensure business reporting needs are met with the most elegant and timely technology solutions.
- Lifecycle Management : Ensure proper development life cycle is followed with artifacts to support internal audit and any inquiries.
- Post-Implementation Support : Provide post-implementation support and investigate issues.
Qualifications :
- Investment Securities Knowledge : Practical and detailed knowledge of investment securities, standards, security master, identifiers, quotes, prices, and volume across asset classes.
- Market Data Vendors : Experience working with known Market Data vendors like Reuters, Bloomberg, etc.
- Industry Experience : Minimum 5 years of direct experience in market data, trading (bond desk), and investment operations.
- Bloomberg Terminal : Demonstrated experience with Bloomberg terminal (such as PORT) and data license usage, and market data standards for investment management in the Equity and Fixed Income space.
- Data Tools : Experience with databases, data mapping, and query & reporting tools.
- Systems Integration : Experience with systems integrations involving trades, data transfers, messaging protocols, and mapping of attributes.
- Trade Lifecycle : Sound understanding of the typical trade life cycle.
- Documentation Skills : Excellent documentation, analytical, and process-based skills to produce process flow diagrams, business modeling, and functional design documents.
- Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Time Management : Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Education : University degree or college certification in a relevant discipline.
- Reporting Solutions : Familiarity with reporting solutions such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Wyn is an added advantage.

Compensation and Benefits :
