Aboutthe Position :

Ourclient one of Canada s leading Consulting Engineering firms isactively seeking an experienced Accountant to join theirteam!

Reporting directlyto the Controller the Accountant will play a key role in managingall financial operations from fullcycle accounting and financialreporting to maintaining accurate records.

This role also includesdeveloping robust control measures to uphold data accuracy andintegrity.

Weare looking for a proactive and highly experienced individual withstrong selfmotivation and a handson approach. The ideal candidatethrives in fastpaced dynamic environments and has excellentcommunication skills to collaborateeffectively.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Supportthe monthend quarterend and yearend close processes includingpreparing journal entries reconciling accounts and maintainingworkingpapers.
• Handleassigned project accounting tasks such as invoicing managingaccounts receivable payments and financialreporting.
• Continuouslyevaluate and propose improvements to automate and enhanceaccounting and reportingprocesses.
• Takeownership of adhoc projects and analysis contributing to informedbusiness decisions and riskmitigation.

Education&Qualifications :

• CPAdesignation or close to completingcertification.
• 3years of general accounting experience in a corporate setting orequivalent experience with a public accountingfirm.
• Projectaccounting experience is aplus.

Skills&Competencies :

• Meticulouswellorganized and capable of meeting tightdeadlines.
• Strongfinancial acumen with sharp analyticalskills.
• Selfdrivenresultsoriented and comfortable working in a fastmovingenvironment.
• Proficientin MicrosoftExcel.
• Familiaritywith Deltek Vision (ERP software) is an asset but notessential.
