Duties

  • Provide leadership and supervision to EEG technologists, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate staff assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
  • Oversee the quality assurance program for EEG testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to review departmental goals, discuss issues, and foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Oversee training and orientation of new EEG technologists, ensuring adherence to Hospital’s protocols and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Assign and check work
  • Provide ongoing education and training to EEG technologists on new techniques, protocols, and equipment advancements.
  • Perform in-patient and out-patient EEGs
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize use of available resources
  • Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient / client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal
  • Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Harassment-Free Workplace policy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (CBRET) required
  • Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, diploma in medical electrophysiology or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an EEG Technologist, with demonstrated proficiency in conducting EEG tests and interpreting results.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team
  • Demonstrated effective decision making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills and service excellence attitude is essential
  • Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem solving abilities
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression.Bilingual (French / English) is considered an asset.

Salary Range : 44.66 to 56.30 per hour
