Description
The Vice-President of Sales will play a critical role in driving the company's growth and success. Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing a robust sales strategy, managing a high-performing sales team, and achieving revenue targets.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales performance in a B2C environment.
Challenges to be Met
- Direct responsibility for Canadian sales efforts and distribution of company’s products
- Responsible for the sales generation and marketing management of Sales Leadership, field Sales Representatives and an Inside Sales Team
- Development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic business plans for Canadian markets
- Oversee the development and achievement of annual sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans, working with the Sales Leadership team
- Provide leadership and innovation in key account development, management and expansion, consistently broadening customer base and asset base
- Provide leadership and vision to drive corporate objectives through the selection and implementation of sound business strategies and plans
- Develop distribution positioning, executed via appropriate distribution channels through Sales practice management (programs & policies)
- Be a key contributor on behalf of Sales and subject matter expert for company projects and new initiatives when required
- Play a leadership role in the company’s distribution strategy
- Develop and implement retention strategies aimed at building and retaining strong customer relationships.
- Oversee the development and achievement of annual retention forecasts, budgets and plans working closely with the Team Lead
- Provide overall management and oversight to the retention team
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA would be preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the financial services industry, with a strong B2C focus.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
- Resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability.
- High level of initiative and the ability to work independently where necessary.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communications both written and verbal skills.
- General computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
- Experience with managing financials (forecasting, budgeting, billing, etc.)
- The ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Financial / investment marketing experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in sales CRM software and other sales enablement tools.

- Moderate travel required.
