What is the opportunity?
As the Pension Delivery Consultant , you will be to guide individuals through the transition from employment to active retirement and manage any changes during the retirement lifecycle.
Promote a participatory work environment that encourages team spirit and professional self-development. Provide a high level of customer service to pensioners.
Please note that the location for this position is Mississauga. This position requires a hybrid working arrangement.
What will you do?
- Continuously evaluates processes and implements solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness with focus on enhancing the employee and retiree experience.
- Responsible for timely investigation and resolution of Tier 3 escalations from HRSS Contact Centre and from HR Employee Relations.
- Evaluates and provide advice regarding impact of new legislation, new HR initiatives or issues at the request of HR Employee Relations, HRBPs etc.
- Reports and investigates issues; implements plans to address root causes.
- Accountable for the accurate and timely processing of employee life cycle and pension changes for RBC Employees in Canada and internationally.
- High degree of accountability and decision-making responsibility in relation to RBC Pension; governance, administration requirements, processes, and related tax requirements
- Responsible for accurate and timely administration of the Pension Program
- Provide leadership and oversight for the team as they participate in the delivery of projects; includes oversight for testers and completion of required testing.
Projects could be annually recurring, stand alone or M&A related
- Implement enhance and maintains regular controls and reports to validate and ensure proper audit controls are in place
- Ensures there is an escalation process in place and followed for non-standard employee / management inquiries / issues / complaints.
Ensures quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.
Leads continuous improvement processes to identify opportunities to enhance Pension Service effectiveness inclusive of administration and written responses to members and pensioner queries
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Good understanding of Pension Standards Act, ITA and provincial pension legislation.
- Knowledge of RBC Pension Program an asset.
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize work effectively
- Good oral and written communication skills / computer skills
- Strong decision-making ability and ability to take the task to completion with minimal instruction.
- Self-starter
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word)

- SAP knowledge
- Benplus Knowledge
- Business Knowledge Functional Expertise
- RPA Designation
- PCP Designation (Payroll Compliance Professional)
