Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications, our Videographer will collaborate and support marketing strategies to communicate with our customers, residents, employees, and the public.
Our Videographer will create compelling content that showcases our diverse portfolio, which includes corporate videos, hospitality features, construction and development progress updates, general lifestyle segments, and more.
Projects range from short-form content to long-form videos, encompassing advanced editing, narration, and infographics for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and our websites.
The role requires travel to various Lower Mainland projects and business sites as needed.
Key Accountabilities
- Create engaging videos that not only highlight Century Group, our businesses, people, mission, values, and achievements, but also play a significant role in shaping our corporate image.
- Fulfill a wide range of video needs, including internal and external communications, lifestyle, how-to videos, and special projects.
- Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications and the marketing team to produce content for social media, websites, and advertising campaigns.
- Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video projects.
- Produce promotional videos for our hospitality and operations group, showcasing resident satisfaction, hotel amenities, guest experiences, unique selling points, and lifestyle and food content.
- Document the progress of construction projects from groundbreaking to completion.
- Highlight the community and living experiences in our communities and offices through video.
- Capture events, resident testimonials, and neighbourhood features.
- As our Videographer, you'll be involved in a variety of video styles, from short-form content (social media reels and YouTube Shorts) to long-form documentary-style videos.
You'll also be creating videos requiring complex editing, narration, and the integration of infographics and animations.

Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, or a related field is preferred.
- Five plus years experience as a videographer, ideally within real estate or similar industries.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Expertise in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.
- Robust portfolio showcasing various video production skills, including short-form, long-form, and complex projects.
- Strong understanding of video production techniques, including lighting, sound, and camera operation.
- Exceptional storytelling, editing, and visual composition abilities.
- Photography and graphic design skills would be an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality production.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong creative vision for holistic storytelling across multiple platforms.
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience integrating narration and infographics into video content.
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, etc).
- Ability to travel to other work sites (Driver's License Class 5 required).
