Job Description
From our Gatineau office, the candidate will lead a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and studies in industrial mechanics.
You will be involved at various levels of responsibility, on small, medium and large regional, provincial and national projects.
You'll collaborate with other members of your highly qualified team to develop solutions tailored to customer needs. You'll grow quickly in an environment where accountability, autonomy and trust are strongly encouraged.
You'll be involved in all stages of the projects that will reshape the face of the region, while benefiting from a hybrid work mode (telecommuting, worksites, office).
Primary Responsibilities
- Design varied and complex projects
- Develop technical solutions
- Produce plans and specifications
- Attend design and site meetings
- Participate in construction supervision activities
- Determine construction costs and quantities in accordance with standard methods and established plans and specifications
- Conduct studies and write technical reports
- Coordinate and supervise the work of project technicians and draftsmen
- Ensure coordination between stakeholders
- Provide technical support to various customers
- Produce project schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with an industrial profile.
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- 10 years' experience in mechanical design in the industrial sector
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Plant 3D software and Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, SOLIDWORKS and / or Inventor software is beneficial
- Bilingualism in French and English is required (written and spoken). Fluency in French and English is required for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, partners and members of every community nationwide.
- Construction site health and safety certificate (ASP card)
