Cyber Project Manager

Description of Assignment

The Cyber Project Manager will support the Office of the CISO in the delivery of multiple cyber initiatives mainly related to cyber risk management ( integrated risk management and / or cyber dashboards).

The Cyber Project Manager is required to assist with the planning and execution of assigned projects as a member of the Office of the CISO Division, providing resource augmentation and expertise in the area of cyber project management and delivery.

The successful candidate will be a Cyber Project Manager professional with strong business transformation experience and acumen, proven solution delivery leadership capabilities and a successful track-record in organizational change management.

Extensive prior experience in successful delivery of cyber initiatives is required including the implementing of reporting and GRC tools.

Assignment Duties

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, support and successful delivery of key cyber initiatives towards improving organization's risk posture.
  • Responsible for the governance and smooth execution of services by a third-party vendor, technology, processes, procedures, and overall delivery of cyber initiatives.
  • Manage, deliver, and ensure delivery quality using appropriate project methodology.
  • Define and implement KPI's based on the services and cyber controls implemented.
  • Report on status, risk management, budget / cost, success criteria and reporting as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience in large project management and program management in Government jurisdictions and or large private sector organizations.
  • Extensive (over 5 years) project management experience delivering cyber projects.
  • Extensive experience with traditional and innovative project management processes, techniques, tools across agile, waterfall, iterative methods associated tools.
  • Extensive experience with developing metrics and dashboards in Tableau.
  • Extensive experience in managing risk management programs including implementing GRC tools and creating standard risk management policies.
  • Strong IT knowledge and cyber relevance with digital identities & fulfilment, trends and technologies. Operational Technology (OT) familiarity is an asset.
  • Project excellence spanning Governance, Definition, Planning, Project Management & Control, Financials and Close-out.
  • Strong Proficiency in MS Office specifically MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • PMP certification.
  • CISSP or other cyber certification is an asset.
  • Experience working with AWS is an asset.
  • Ability to work in transformative programs.
  • Tenacious and willing to support the team during peak volumes and workloads with various activities.
  • Strong in process management and controls to minimize risks exposure
  • Ability to lead efficient communication between all project stakeholders, including internal teams and clients
  • Ability to achieve business objectives through influencing and effectively working with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, comfortable & confident communicating at all levels including business partners, leadership and vendors.
  • Demonstrated superior project management skills and stakeholders management.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
