Lead Hand Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic

Employment Type : Full-Time (Monday-Friday, Day shift, 40 hours / week)

About the Role
As a Lead Hand, you'll oversee the Service Department, ensuring safety and efficiency.
You'll oversee technicians, manage schedules, and maintain high-quality standards.
Expect to bill 50%-75% of your time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day shop operations
- Ensure technicians meet quality and efficiency targets
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate with customers about ongoing work
- Perform and sign off on repairs and diagnostics
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and Service Writers
- Provide training and technical guidance to technicians
About You
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and safety-focused
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and work order systems
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Licensed Heavy Equipment / Truck and Coach Technician (310T or 421A)
- Valid driver’s license (clean abstract); commercial license is a plus
- 2+ years as a Lead Hand, 5+ years in the industry
- Experience with ERP software and complex machinery
- Strong mechanical skills (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical repair)
