Job Description

This role involves remote / work from home with a requirement for a minimum of two (2) days per week working onsite and may be subject to change as the organization works through its hybrid workforce plan and / or changing needs of the Foundation.

CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country.

The Operations team (segment : Business Intelligence) is accountable for information management of our donor constituent database and supporting the CAMH Foundation to drive data-led decision-making through data analytics, data mining, data visualization, data tools, and infrastructure.

THE OPPORTUNITY :

Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence, the primary focus of this position is to support Systems Modernization initiatives, assess the use of systems and systems functionality within the Foundation, and make efficiency improvement recommendations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Work closely with staff in all departments to understand business needs, gather requirements for business needs, and propose and implement solutions to meet these business needs
  • Elicit and document business, system, and functional requirements, use cases, and test cases related to systems modernization projects
  • Oversees the development, testing and support of solutions, and / or reports across various departments
  • Identifies training requirements and needs, creates training materials and delivers staff training to Foundation staff
  • Develops user support documentation
  • Provides support to Foundation staff through the Foundation IT Service Desk, resolves or escalates issues, co-ordinates technology support issues with the CAMH IMG staff
  • Leads and manages systems modernization and business analysis projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to project scope.

Managing multiple stakeholders and handling more complex or high-impact initiatives, which support strategic planning and decision-making.

Delivering project communication updates, facilitating meetings, defining meeting agendas, tracking project progress, risks, issues, and escalates when needed

  • Coordinates work with vendors, ensures work is completed as expected, monitors vendor work for follow-up on action items or deliverables
  • Assesses the use of systems and systems functionality within the Foundation, makes efficiency improvement recommendations
  • Work with Foundation staff to document and improve business processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, scale, and continuously optimize initiatives considering the best available evidence
  • Evaluates, assesses, and provides analysis of complex information and initiatives and prepare recommendations and solutions that translate business priorities into implementable actions
  • Plays a role in the development of environmental scans, document analysis, and business cases, in order to identify trends and develop recommendations and forecasting tools for strategic planning and / or business improvement initiatives
  • Gathers information systematically, considering risks, factors, and range of issues in order to develop strategic planning and business improvement recommendations
  • Designs and employs tools and processes to support colleagues and partners in identifying risk, assessing value, and developing improvement initiatives
  • Builds sustainable relationships throughout the Foundation in order to develop support for strategic planning, business improvement, and innovation work
  • Builds sustainable relationships with the hospital IT department in order to get best utilize the hospital-provided IT services in order to achieve Foundation business needs
  • Exercises good judgment and communicates effectively verbally and in writing, to maintain and build good relations with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
  • Design tools and processes to support colleagues and partners in identifying, assessing value and prioritizing strategic planning or improvement initiatives
  • Lead business case development and / or process improvement initiatives in which you adequately assess opportunities, identify risks, and integrate performance measures
  • Design and facilitate meetings and sessions that bring groups to consensus.

Minimum Requirements

A post-secondary degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related technical field.

A combination of education and experience that is deemed equivalent may be considered.

  • Five to seven years experience in business systems analysis or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex systems projects, having a strong understanding of industry practices.
  • PMP designation or similar would be an asset.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and experience applying these skills to resolve application design considerations and technical issues.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets.
  • Strong analysis skills are required, with a focus on gathering and understanding requirements prior to recommending solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead consultations with program areas, prepare and present options papers, business cases, and presentations, and to provide advice and recommendations to senior management
  • Ability to define clear solution specifications from requirements and assist the implementation with validation of features against the requirements.
  • Ability to provide detailed estimates for timelines of the solution implementation.
  • Broad knowledge of applications, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, CRM solutions, ERP solutions and Blackbaud technologies used in non-profits
  • Skilled with data collection, analysis, and visualization tools and techniques (e.g., MS Excel, PowerBI)
  • Experience with ITIL based IT processes including incident management, release management, problem management, support models, etc.
  • Familiarity with systems (eg. Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge) used in non-profits to support fundraising

Salary Range : $73,202 to $81,954 annually
