Job Title : Senior Specialized IT Consultant
Contract Duration : 3+ Months
Pay range : C$650 - 700 / day
Location : Toronto, ON
Work Type : Hybrid, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Are you a seasoned Senior Specialized IT Consultant with a passion for driving digital transformation? We're seeking a talented individual to join our team and provide expert guidance to clients on their information technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Advise clients on information technology to meet business objectives and overcome problems.
- Improve the structure and efficiency of organizations' I&IT systems.
- Provide strategic guidance on information management, IT technology, IT infrastructures, and business process enablement.
- Offer subject matter expertise and highly expert technical assistance.
- Serve as the technical advisor / expert on specific deliverables.
- Ensure the quality assurance / quality control of deliverables.
- Anticipate and resolve problems to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Develop processes and procedures for implementing deliverables.
- Prepare reports, presentations, options, recommendations, and implementation plans.
- Work with clients to define project scope and requirements.
- Define software, hardware, and network requirements.
- Analyze I&IT requirements and provide independent advice.
- Design, test, install, and monitor new systems and develop solutions.
- Apply change-management principles and methodology.
- Understand information management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
Qualifications :
- 10+ years of experience in project management, including planning, resource management, governance, risk management, and change management.
- Experience in developing project plans, and defining objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Ability to allocate resources efficiently to achieve project goals.
- Skill in identifying potential risks and creating contingency plans.
- Experience in monitoring project expenses and ensuring budget adherence.
- Ability to ensure project deliverables meet required standards and client expectations.
- Experience in managing and motivating project teams, assigning tasks, and resolving conflicts.
- Skill in cross-training projects and team members.
- Ability to track project status and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Adaptability to changes in project requirements and ensuring the project remains on track.
- Experience in reviewing project outcomes and conducting post-production assessments.
- Knowledge of application development methodologies, techniques, and methods.
- Knowledge of tools to support Web Accessibility testing for AODA legislation.
- Experience working in Agile-Scrum environments, using standard and DevOps processes and tools.
- Experience in managing multiple projects involving client partnerships.
- Knowledge and experience with OpenText Content Suite and other OpenText products.
- Understanding of systems development cycle (SDLC), software test life cycle (STLC), and project management.
- Experience handling projects focused on IT infrastructure, including working with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Experience overseeing the implementation of new IT projects or enterprise software.
- Experience managing projects related to cybersecurity.
- Experience leading projects to migrate from on-premises services to cloud-based solutions.
- Experience guiding and developing strategies for digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with external vendors and service providers.
- Experience in creating and managing project budgets, monitoring expenses, and optimizing resource utilization.
- Experience in communicating with various clients, including executives, users, and team members.
- Ability to identify potential project risks, assess their impact, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Experience maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Skill in incorporating lessons learned from previous projects into future initiatives.
Soft Skills :
- Strong communication skills, including preparing documentation, reports, reviews, and assessments.
- Ability to present ideas and suggestions in a user-friendly manner.
- Skill in facilitating transparent communication among team members, stakeholders, and higher management.
