Fortinet is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our FortiGuard team in Burnaby. This individual will be primarily working on our Web Content Filtering System - from improving existing features to developing new features.
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of Python and Golang programming, and will be eager to learn new things. We are considering juniors and new graduates for this position, however we are also open to strong candidates at intermediate and senior levels.
Required skills :
- 2+ years experience in software development post-secondary
- Experience with Python, Go, and software development methodology
- Experience with Linux platforms
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Desired skills :
- Experience with operating system interfaces for threads and process control
- Experience with MySQL database
- Experience with Machine Learning
- Experience with scripting languages (such as PHP or Shell) is a plus
- Experience with object-oriented languages (such as Java or C) is a plus
Educational qualifications :
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
