Position Title : Child Care Registrar, Children and Youth Services

Location : 3368 Carscallen Rd, Richmond

Terms : Permanent, Full-Time

Start Date : As soon as possible

Salary : $43,000 - $45,000, plus benefits

Reports to : Supervisor, Registration, Children and Youth Services

Benefits : Typical 7-hour workday / 35 hour work week

Nature & Scope :

Reporting into the Manager, Administration, the child care registrar will play a pivotal role in YMCA BC’s Children and Youth Services team.

This position will be the first point of contact and provide administrative support to the team. The childcare registrar will be working in a fast- paced dynamic environment, dealing with high volume calls and emails.

This role will ensure programs are registered to budget targets and waitlists are maintained in a way that ensures efficiencies and transparency in our services.

Major Responsibilities :

  • To support registration for all School Age and Early Years programs within YMCA BC Child Care.
  • To maintain and update centre enrollments, dynamic waitlist records and reporting as required.
  • To maintain timely communication between parents, centre supervisors & management teams.
  • To provide admin support for the development of new child care facilities, the branch Strong Kids
  • campaign, human resources and child protection functions.
  • To perform other related duties as required and be flexible to a changing work environment.
  • Commitment and focused attention to ensuring the Branch meets association commitments and targets while ensuring that all programs operate at maximum capacity.

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in an administrative assistant or relevant role
  • Proven track record in effectively navigating and utilizing databases
  • Demonstrate a high level of organizational and administrative skills
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills coupled with cultural sensitivity
  • Excel in maintaining process and detail orientation while adeptly managing multiple tasks
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proactively take initiative and manage time effectively in a fast- paced, dynamic setting
  • Prioritize workload with precision, showcasing impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving acume
