MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking an Senior Architectural Project Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a leading architectural firm with a strong reputation for high-quality design and exceptional client service in Western Canada.

With over 40 years of practice, they specialize in a wide range of projects including retail, residential, mixed-use, office, and senior health-care developments.

They are committed to sustainable design principles and creating innovative, efficient solutions.

About the Role :

In this role, you will coordinate projects and manage project teams, ensuring successful project delivery from design through to construction.

You will work closely with various stakeholders, maintaining high standards of technical and design excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and coordinate architectural projects from design through construction, working closely with clients, designers, engineers, and contractors.
• Manage project teams throughout all project phases, including design development, construction documentation, and administration.
• Utilize your expertise in building technology, including wood frame, steel, and concrete construction, to create efficient working drawings.
• Ensure project compliance with the BC Building Code (Part 3, Part 9), ASHRAE 90.1, and incorporate sustainable design considerations.
• Navigate municipal approval processes and provide construction services, including field reviews.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program from a recognized institution.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the Canadian architectural industry, with BC experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of project management experience, coordinating teams during design and construction document preparation.
• Multi-disciplinary experience, particularly in townhomes, mixed-use, and multi-family residential projects.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit and Sketchup is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate alignment with the client’s guiding principles.
