Wills, Estates & Trusts Associate / Junior Partner
Our client has an immediate opening for a Mid-Level Wills, Estates & Trusts Lawyer with specialized experience in tax planning to join their esteemed team in Toronto.
The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive legal services to clients, focusing on estate planning, tax mitigation strategies, and efficient administration of estates and trusts.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a wide range of matters relating to estate and trust planning, including drafting wills and trust documents and structuring enduring powers of attorney and personal directives.
- Work closely with the firm’s tax lawyers to provide sophisticated tax planning strategies tailored to clients’ needs, with a keen focus on minimizing tax liabilities, maximizing wealth preservation, and optimizing asset distribution to beneficiaries.
- Oversee the administration of estates, trusts, and powers of attorney and advise fiduciaries on their responsibilities, rights, and obligations.
- Expand and support business / client development opportunities.
Education and Professional Skills / Knowledge
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
- Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- 6+ years of wills, estates & trusts law experience
- Effective practice management and superior client service orientation.
