About the Role

As a Mobile Games Experience Designer, you'll play a crucial role in crafting the visual elements and user interfaces that define our games.

Your primary focus will be on creating stunning 2D and 3D assets, screen designs, and UI components that enhance player experience and enjoyment.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the game design process and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop engaging and intuitive mobile experiences.

This position is the perfect match for you, if you have a strong foundation in both 2D and 3D design, along with a solid understanding of player psychology and user-centered design principles.

What You'll be Doing

Visual Asset Creation : Design and create high-quality 2D and 3D assets, including characters, environments, icons, and other game elements, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with the game's style.

UI Design and Implementation : Develop intuitive and aesthetically pleasing UI components, screens, and HUD elements that enhance the overall player experience.

Collaborate on Visual Storytelling : Work with our creative director, and developers to ensure that the visual elements effectively communicate the game's story and mechanics.

Maintain a Consistent Art Style : Ensure that all visual designs adhere to established guidelines, contributing to a cohesive look and feel throughout the game.

Prototype and Iterate : Produce prototypes for UI screens and visual elements, refining them based on player feedback and usability testing.

Data-Driven Decision Making : Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies to generate insights and inform your design decisions.

Innovate and Adapt : Stay current with mobile gaming trends, player behaviours, and UI / UX best practices, and apply them to design innovative game features and experiences.

Your Qualifications

Experience : 3+ years of experience in visual and UI design, with a portfolio showcasing work from shipped mobile games (ideally free-to-play) and strong design skills in both 2D and preferably 3D environments.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator and a 3D software (C4D or Blender) is mandatory. Experience with Unity and / or motion design experience are strong pluses!

Visual Design Expertise : Strong understanding of colour theory, composition, typography, and visual storytelling.

UI / UX Knowledge : Knowledge of user-centered design principles and the ability to create intuitive user interfaces that align with game mechanics.

Data Analysis : Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies to extract insights and inform design decisions.

Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality and consistent visual design across all assets and UI elements.
