Job Title : Investment Advisor Company : Primerica Location : North York, ON Job Type : Full-Time / Part-Time Job Summary : As an Investment Advisor at Primerica, you will be responsible for offering personalized investment advice and financial solutions to clients, with a primary focus on retirement planning, mutual funds, and other investment vehicles.
Your goal is to help clients achieve financial independence by creating investment strategies that align with their specific goals and risk tolerance.
You will also work with clients to educate them on the importance of financial planning, diversify their portfolios, and maximize returns while managing risk.
Key Responsibilities : 1. Client Relationship Management : Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, goals, and concerns.
Schedule and conduct regular meetings with clients to review and adjust their investment portfolios as their financial situation changes.
Provide comprehensive financial planning services that integrate investment strategies with other aspects of their financial life, such as budgeting, and estate planning.
2. Investment Advice & Portfolio Management : Assess clients' financial situation to develop appropriate investment strategies, including retirement savings, education funding, tax optimization, and wealth accumulation.
Recommend a variety of investment options (mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, bonds, etc.) that align with the client’s risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial goals.
Help clients with retirement planning. Monitor and manage client portfolios, making recommendations for adjustments based on market conditions and clients' changing goals.
3. Financial Education & Coaching : Educate clients on the fundamentals of investing, risk management, diversification, and the importance of long-term financial planning.
Conduct financial seminars, webinars, and one-on-one consultations to increase financial literacy within your client base and the community.
Help clients understand the benefits of long-term investing and the risks associated with different types of investments.
4. Sales and Business Development : Actively prospect for new clients by networking, referrals, and outreach to individuals and families in your local community.
Work to grow your client base through referrals and word-of-mouth, capitalizing on Primerica's reputation and marketing materials.
Expand your reach by educating potential clients about the benefits of working with a financial professional to manage their investments.
5. Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and Primerica’s policies, including suitability requirements and disclosure guidelines.
Help clients make informed decisions by explaining potential risks associated with different investment products. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in Primerica’s systems and ensure that all transactions are properly documented.
Skills & Qualifications : Financial Knowledge : Strong understanding of financial products, investment strategies, and the financial markets.
Experience with retirement planning, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and other investment products. Sales & Client Relationship Skills : Ability to connect with clients, understand their needs, and develop long-term relationships based on trust and service.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms.
Problem Solving & Analytical Skills : Ability to assess clients’ financial situations and create customized investment strategies to meet their goals.
Licensing & Certifications : Investment license or CSC is an asset but not mandatory. Primerica provides the licensing training.
Education & Experience : Education : A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience : Previous experience in financial services, sales, or client management is an asset but not necessarily required.
