They also reach a robust print subscriber base through the publication of Sports Illustrated, Sports Illustrated Swim and Sports Illustrated Kids magazines.

We're hiring a Senior Data Analyst to lead the analysis and performance reporting for our publishing partners to provide actionable insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

We seek a collaborative, efficient, and analytical person to join our data team. Working cross collaboratively, you will translate data into insights to support key business decisions

  • Collaborate closely with external publishers to gather data, monitor KPIs, and ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
  • Develop detailed reports and dashboards that showcase performance metrics, trends, and recommendations for optimizing media campaigns.
  • Conduct data-driven analysis to assess the effectiveness of publishing partners projects and identify opportunities for improvement in collaboration with external partners.
  • Work with the product and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources and proper tracking of metrics across multiple platforms.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, external clients, and stakeholders to support business decisions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, automation, and competitor strategies, particularly in the media and publishing sector.

You will work primarily from home with the option to work from our Industrious location from time to time

The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $95,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location.

The benefits available for this position (if located in New York) include flexible vacation policy, 15 paid holidays, paid parental leave, health insurance, and 401(k) retirement plan.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or performance reporting, ideally within digital media, publishing, or ad tech industries.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and experience working with large datasets to extract insights.

Proficiency in Python is also desired.

  • Knowledge of digital advertising, media metrics, and campaign performance indicators which is typically associated with prior experience in ad tech ecosystems, including programmatic advertising and media partnerships.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, manage relationships, and align goals to ensure mutual success.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in presenting complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights that drive business outcomes.
