Role Summary
The Senior Scheduler will play a key role in planning and coordinating schedules for complex grid stabilization projects across Canada & US.
Working and supporting the lead Project Manager in Canada, this role will involve building and maintaining project schedules, managing timelines, and collaborating with teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives.
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate schedules, resources, and deliverables, focusing on grid stabilization initiatives including FACTs and synchronous condenser installations.
- Monitor project timelines and identify potential delays or conflicts, proactively adjusting schedules and communicating updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to maintain adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Prepare and present scheduling reports, including forecasts, variances, and project status updates to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, project guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of scheduling experience within a construction or engineering environment, with a focus on large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required; familiarity with other scheduling software is a plus.
- Previous experience with FACTs or similar grid stabilization projects is an asset.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including risk management, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Electrical background preferred.
- This is a Bilingual role. MUST s peak, read, write French and English.
Location and Travel Requirements
This is a hybrid role based in either Toronto or Montreal. Some site travel may be required based on project needs.
