Responsibilities :
- Identify and research potential new business opportunities within the construction industry.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals.
- Build strong relationships with potential clients, architects, engineers, and other key decision-makers.
- Qualify leads and convert them into qualified proposals.
- Prepare compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the company’s value proposition.
- Manage the bidding process, including bid preparation, submission, and follow-up.
- Track industry trends and competitor activity to identify new market opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, operations, project management) to ensure a smooth proposal development process.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company construction capabilities and competitive advantages.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field ideal however minimum of 5-10 years of experience in business development or a related field within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM software (a plus).
