Randstad Canada is hiring for an Electrical Assembler in Milton for one of our leading clients in the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry.
This position is intended to be an initial contract via Randstad Canada until the employee is able to converted to the client's team as an internal employee.
Plant seeks a Mechanical Assembler. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role involves interpreting manufacturing documents to assemble, fit, and install prefabricated parts or modify basic components, sub-assemblies, and structures using hand and power tools.
The location is on Industrial Drive, Milton, ON.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.
Starting wage is $21 / hr.
Shifts : 7 AM - 3 : 30 PM, M-F

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage low to moderate complexity assembly projects, directing MO2 assemblers and ensuring quality.
- Read engineering drawings (excluding wiring) and Oracle Bill of Materials, and use 3D model viewing software and Microsoft Office.
- Assist other departments as needed, verify parts against requirements, and resolve discrepancies with the supervisor.
- Report drawing concerns and fix errors found during testing and inspection.
- Adhere to CSA and UL codes, maintain KANBAN process, and apply consistent assembly methods.
- Conduct visual inspections, prepare units for testing, ensure quality standards, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform packing, shipping, and use tools for assembly and repair.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in assembly within a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Lift up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance, using proper techniques.
- Proven experience in assembling or repairing products.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics.
- Active participation including 5S, safety, and site engagement.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing processes and Six Sigma tools.
