partner staffing on behalf ofour Client we are looking for an experienced and dynamic ElectricalDesigner (Oil & Gas Waste Water Food & Beverage) intheir Edmonton office to lead the design of electrical systemsincluding power distribution lighting instrumentation controlpanels and grounding solutions for projects in Oil & GasWaste Water and Food & Beverageindustries.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Degreein Electrical Engineering Engineering Technologist Diploma or arelated field.
  • Eligible for orregistered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or P.L.Eng withAPEGA.
  • A minimum of 5 years ofexperienceincluding :
  • Designingcontrol panels MCCs VFDs and motorlayouts.
  • Developing PLC / DCS cabinetdesigns.
  • Sizing and specifyingelectrical equipment.
  • Creatingsingleline diagrams schematics and terminationdetails.
  • Instrumentation loop designand wiring.
  • Planning cable routingtray layouts heat tracing andlighting.
  • Conducting power andgrounding system studies.
  • Testingand commissioning onsitesystems.
  • Applying the CanadianElectrical Code Parts 1 and2.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCADElectrical.

AdditionalRequirements :

  • Avalid driver s license.
  • Clearcriminal background check.
  • Abilityto pass a preemployment drug and alcoholtest.

Responsibilities :

  • Overseeelectrical system designs including power distribution lightinginstrumentation control panels and grounding solutions for projectsin Oil and Gas Waster Water and Food andBeverages.
  • Produce detailed CADdrawings schematics and singlelinediagrams.
  • Review designs addressissues and ensure deliverables meet qualitystandards.
  • Work closely with clientsto understand their needs and provide technicaladvice.
  • Foster and maintainprofessional relationships with clients engineers andcontractors.
  • Develop and manageproject timelines budgets andplans.

WorkingConditions :

  • Travel : 30% travel required (local andoutoftown).
  • Possible overtime andweekend work asneeded.

Testing and commissioning on-sitesystems. Applying the Canadian Electrical Code Parts 1 and 2.Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical.

Additional Requirements : A valid driver s license. Clear criminal background check. Abilityto pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities : Oversee electrical system designs, including power distribution,lighting, instrumentation, control panels, and grounding solutionsfor projects in Oil and Gas, Waster Water and Food and Beverages.
