Job Description
We are seeking an Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant to join our team in Toronto.
The Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant will be responsible for providing guidance and support to new business prospects and in-force clients in relation to their group benefits program.
The Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant will work closely with the Enterprise team to manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities related to employee benefits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services to clients and prospects.
The Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant will be responsible for :
- Working within the Enterprise team to manage new business and in-force groups to ensure timely and accurate delivery of employee benefits services
- Review plan performance, experience reporting, assist in flex pricing exercises
- Prepare market specifications for clients using both internal and external quoting systems
- Analyze data and multiple carrier proposals, prepare cost comparisons and make recommendations related to the best option for the client
- Perform ad hoc investigations of claims data to explain trends to consultants / account managers, for information to client
- Gather necessary data and perform analysis of estimated cost impact of plan design alterations for self-insured clients
- Prepare client renewal reporting and reviews, including negotiations with insurers and completing the renewal cycle with reporting and commentary
- Prepare ad hoc presentations, reports, and proposals as requested by clients and prospects
- Provides technical and peer review work for analysts and other associates
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution and implementation of benefit programs
- Prepare documents for client presentation, meet in person to deliver client information
- Support working relationships with Plan Sponsors, Plan Administrators and Representatives
- Develop and maintain positive rapport and relationships with carriers, Account Leaders and other client stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and best practices related to employee benefits
- Track ongoing work, update workflow systems regularly and as necessary
- Provide mentorship and training to Enterprise Benefits Specialists and Enterprise Analysts as needed
- Coordinate and organize sales events in collaboration with the broader
To be successful as an Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant you will need :
- 2-3yrs+ Experience working in Group Benefits
- Experience preparing client renewal reporting and reviews, including negotiations with insurers and completing the renewal cycle with reporting and commentary
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Life License (LLQP) is considered an asset
