Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated Accounting and Assurance Advisor . This is a full-time remote opportunity with a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $90,000 per annum .
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and relevant experience in audit and assurance, making this a perfect role for someone transitioning from an accounting firm to an industry-based position.

Responsibilities :
- Creating and testing financial controls to improve current processes.
- Managing and understanding controls surrounding settlement processes between companies.
- Implementing and auditing controls for cash management sites, providing support as needed.
- Ensuring adherence to third-party contracting procedures and payable controls.
- Reviewing material charges and account balances for accuracy and completeness.
- Confirming that payroll services processes are accurately recorded in the financial provider ADP and reconciling payroll remittances.
- Meeting month-end deadlines and preparing accruals in a timely manner.
- Participating in ongoing finance improvement projects to maintain general systems and controls.
- Hosting periodic control reviews with the CFO and leadership team to demonstrate progress.
Requirements :
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- An accounting degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience (CPA program candidate preferred).
- Knowledge of financial controls and their implementation (asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
