Job Title : Corporate Communications SpecialistLocation : Head Office Winnipeg (On Site) The Corporate Communications Specialist will work as part of a team responsible for the organization’s corporate advertising, marketing, social media presence, media relations and community engagement efforts to build and sustain G3’s external brand.
This role is involved in the creation and implementation of G3’s promotional, communication, and customer relations programs and materials to support the overall corporate business goals as well as the corporate marketing strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Shapes and communicates clear value proposition and brand message internally and externally through effective use of multiple marketing mediums, including social media platforms.
Involved in the creation of key messages and themes with respect to G3’s advertising materials, promotional items, G3’s internal communications, and public relations events that reflect G3’s corporate brand and corporate marketing strategy.
Authors corporate-focused articles, essays and advertorials and reviews external communications and corporate employee communications and provides feedback to the business units and / or writers.
Manages media relations requests and both acts as G3 spokesperson and / or provides advice to G3’s spokesperson as to what direction should be taken, drafts media press releases and executive speeches.
Manages G3’s sponsorship and corporate giving (donation) activities.Works with front line staff and Customer Relations department to ensure that G3 is delivering on its brand promise and that customer interactions remain positive.
Performs other related duties as assigned from time to time including shareholder initiatives and requests as well as supporting company ESG and EDI initiatives.
Participates in setting and adhering to budgets and forecasts. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE : Post-secondary degree in Communications, Public or Media Relations or related field.
Minimum 5 years of related experience including proactive and reactive media relations.Management of multiple social media channels including content creation, boosting posts, reporting on metrics, and use of a social media management platform.
Previous experience in advertising, customer relations, and media training.Bilingualism (English and French) will be considered an asset.
