Drake International is recruiting on behalf of a highly reputed client in Ottawa. We are seeking a 310T Licensed Truck Mechanic to join their team, providing essential services across multiple plant locations.

What You'll Do :
- Lubricate and perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks and other equipment as required
- Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose problems
- Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to company standards
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications
- Diagnose and perform power train component repairs
- Troubleshoot and perform hydraulic system repairs
- Repair suspension and steering systems
- Maintain good housekeeping and complete work orders on equipment
- Perform minor repairs including welding and cutting
- Undertake other duties and assignments as required
What We're Looking For :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Valid 310T Ontario (Truck and Coach Mechanic) License
- Minimum of 2 years journeyman level mechanic experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
- Capable of lifting to 75 lbs
- Ability to read and comprehend maintenance manuals
- Complete knowledge of truck air brake systems with the ability to diagnose and repair problems
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
- Physically capable of lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, and operating in tight and awkward positions
