What you will bedoing :
- Consistentlyoffer professional friendly and engaging service to all guests in avariety of settings including plated and buffet banquets forbreakfasts / lunch / dinner working lunches coffee breaks cocktailreceptions formal evening events / galas / weddings and offsitecatering events
- Serve all food and beverageitems for assigned banquet functions
- Explainbanquet menus to guests assisting those with special dietary needsor preferences as well as providing suitable assistancewhen recommending beverages
- Have full knowledgeof all beverage lists and all menu items beingserved
- Clear and reset function space as wellas ensuring service areas are clean andtidy
- Assist with function room setup and teardown as specified by meeting organizers
- Followall policies procedures and service standards including health& safety and food handlingprocedures
- Ability to work a variety of shiftsincluding weekends andholidays
Qualifications :
Yourexperience and skillsinclude :
- Previouscustomer service experience is required with previous food& beverage and / or banqueting / catering experiencepreferred
- Must hold valid Alberta ProServecertification
- Must be physically fitwith the ability to lift heavy items (trays chaffing dishesetc.)
- Ability to work well under pressure in afast paced environment
- Ability to workcohesively and collaboratively as part of ateam
- Ability to focus attention on guest needsremaining calm and courteous at alltimes
