Job description

Tenure - Full Time, 12 -months contract

Title - Bilingual Customer Account Associate / Collection Agent

Location - Markham, ON

Pay Rate - $27.00 (+$1.50 premium for French)

Note - The hours are from 8 : 15 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m.

Late shift are from 11 : 45 a.m. – 8 : 00 p.m.

  • Must be able to work between the hours of 8 : 00 am to 8 : 00 pm

We are currently hiring for an exciting contract role as a Customer Accounts Associate, reporting to the Supervisor of Collections. This role will reside in our Markham Head Office.

What you will be doing :

  • Identify potential losses early and acts on them with a sense of urgency, while controlling repossessions
  • Negotiate total losses
  • Follow up on escalated and cancelled insurance accounts
  • Recommend to Supervisor, the repossession for delinquent accounts when all methods for collection have been exhausted to minimize loss ratios and repossessions to meet objectives.
  • Handle repossession disposal when appropriate maintaining delinquent accounts as per delinquency objectives
  • Prepare and send all necessary paperwork and legal documentation to customer.
  • Respond to customer requests with a Customer First approach
  • Complete other departmental duties as required
  • Maintain customer contact notes in the Host system in accordance with company standards

    What you bring :

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Bilingual – written and oral fluency in English and French
  • University Degree or College diploma, preferably in a business-related field
