The main responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor - Pharmacy are to plan and supervise production in the non-sterile and sterile pharmaceutical laboratory.

KEY ACTIVITIES :

Activities must be performed in compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, laws and standards of regulatory agencies.

THE SUPERVISOR WILL :

• Plan, assign and supervise all sterile and non-sterile laboratory production (including reservations of production rooms, equipment and requests for external analysis).
• Ensure on-time delivery of orders
• Plan team work schedules
• Prepare sterile preparation batch sheets (epidurals, PCA syringes and bags, methacholine)
• Manage team requests and problem situations
• Manage staff absences and authorize timesheets
• Coordinate staff training
• Coordinate annual and semi-annual appraisals of ATPs and attendants with assistant supervisors
• Monitor and update procedures and work instructions
• Manage non-conformities
• Monitor records
• Suggest measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Report any deviations from current standards to pharmacists and the Quality Department
• Recruit ATPs and attendants
