STAND / ST& (ST&), founded in 2023, is a Collegiate School by Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School that leverages a hybrid delivery model. Students enrolled value its flexibility due to their busy outside-of-school schedules, the ability to drive their own learning pace, unique design, technology, innovative hybrid offerings, and yet not compromise the quality of their academic pursuits. STS students also enroll in STAND / ST& courses and a small handful of ST& courses are offered to learners in Alberta and beyond through ST&’s e-commerce platform. ST& faculty will work both in-person and remotely; their schedules will be dedicated to the needs of STS and ST& and refined during the recruitment process. STAND faculty must have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate or be able to obtain one prior to employment. We are seeking a dynamic educator to lead the development and deployment of our ST& Grades 9-12 Design Technology Program. This Program has three distinct course offerings and the successful candidate’s contract would range from 0.5 to 1.0 FTE depending on which of the courses they had the skills to activate.
