EIA is seeking a qualified full-time Administrative Assistant for their finance department. The ideal candidate will have some prior administrative experience and will possess proven professional written and verbal communication skills in an educational environment; all complimented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Reporting to the Principal, the School Administrative Assistant ensures the efficient operation of the school office and performs a variety of clerical duties for school staff. The position operates in an environment of high volumes of work with constant interruptions and changing priorities. Qualifications : Completed a two-year post-secondary training program Strong Administrative background with proficiency with computers various software programs Ability to prioritize and work independently on projects as assigned Enjoy working with people Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills A positive and professional demeanor Courteous manners with the public, students and staff Punctual, meticulous and reliable A team player who enjoys an ever-changing busy work environment An excellent work ethic Responsibilities Include : Assist with billing and financial transactions Answer the telephone in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner Greet and present a business-like and welcoming atmosphere to staff, students and visitors Provide correct information in response to queries, within FOIP regulations Distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence including mail, fax and e-mail Maintain office supplies and inventory control Facilitate and maintenance or school repairs needs General office duties Handle all communication duties Orientating substitute and casual staff to the school and classrooms Provide required data to Central Office and Alberta Education in a timely manner Provide support for written communication, letters, bulletins and newsletters etc. Maintain a safe environment for students who are waiting in the office area or sick room Provide support for various school needs as identified and assigned by School Administration Be familiar with and adhere to District Administrative Procedures that relate to the position Salary and Benefits : Salary is based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience.
