Reporting to the Sales Manager the Senior Buyer will work in collaboration with the team of account managers and will be responsible for the purchase of s metal products (from dealers / intercompanies). He will also be required to develop and maintain outstanding business relationships with new and existing customers. This position requires a dynamic and enterprising individual who is able to work closely with all staff and departments of the company as well as with customers and suppliers.
- Purchase s metal to meet or exceed tonnage targets while maximizing profit margins;
- Visit dealers and industrial suppliers by phone or in person to promote new and repeat business offer pricing provide customer service answer questions handle complaints and build relationships;
- Prospecting for new customers;
- Develop reliable contact networks that will allow uptodate information regarding buy / sell prices and local and regional market trends;
- Negotiate new contracts with clients;
- Perform P&L analysis
- Use knowledge of triage operations and processing to make decisions to optimize pricing;
- Coordinate with administrative staff and the sales team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchase transactions;
- Provide comments and recommendations on s metal purchase prices for AIMoperated yards;
- Carry out special projects according to the attributions;
- Coaching the team;
- Perform all other related tasks.
