Black Diamond Group’s Workforce Solutions group has a full-time position for Fleet Superintendent. The Fleet Superintendent will be responsible for organizing and planning all yard activities in multiple yards, including move ins, move outs, Repair & Maintenance (R&M) of assets, asset deficiency remediation at installation, and physical yard maintenance or improvements. This individual ensures that standards of performance, contractual requirements and customer needs are met or exceeded during operations. The successful candidate will promote, execute and adhere to Black Diamond’s safety programs and encourage all employees and sub-contractors to do the same. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing rental assets for an organization, with a focus on repair and maintenance. They will have experience coordinating movement, managing subcontractors and ensuring customer needs are met. They will be able to work cross functionally across the business, and have excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and work independently. Responsibilities : Be knowledgeable of the current state of all asset holding locations, current inventory levels at each location and current condition of the assets by category; Allocate resources where appropriate to achieve project safety, schedule, cost scope, and quality objectives; Coordinate and actively manage the in-use asset inspections and the R&M or service of the in-use assets including equipment, crew, third-party equipment, trucking, etc.; Ensure all Black Diamond Health and Safety policies, operational procedures and external jurisdictional requirements are followed, including any required monitoring and reporting; Create job plans for estimating project costs, coordination of project delivery and evaluation upon project completion; Track and coorOnt of equipment and personnel with a key focus on : arrival time, departure time, late arrivals or departures, and deviations from project execution plans; Identify, investigate and resolve R&M issues in a timely and effective manner utilizing 3rd party contractors or internal resources. Track this task from the evaluation of assets through decision record regardless of the length of the term. Prioritize R&M based on changing market conditions and fleet availability; Coordinate and communicate with other departments and external parties to facilitate efficient operations; Maintain positive behaviors, approaches, attitudes and commitments to interpersonal service regarding customers, subcontractors, visitors, and coworkers; Prepare and generate written reports; Understand, interpret and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures; Ensures quality and accuracy of schedule for the following day, week and month if available; Appreciate and understand that travel to varied locations is part of this role; Other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Demonstrated experience in management, logistical planning, and coordination of rental asset deployment, preferably modular structures; 5+ years experience in supervising and managing asset inventory in multiple locations; Demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment operations including loaders, pickers, bed trucks, and winch tractors; Proven ability to organize multiple requests and prioritize in a timely manner. Currently holds or able to acquire valid safety and operations tickets (CSTS, First Aid, Loader Operator); Strong time management skills with high attention to detail; Good interpersonal and communication skills; 75% Travel required for the role (including up to multiple overnights); Must have a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract; Must be fluent in English both oral and written.
