KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking a post-secondary student enrolled in a technical field (GIS, engineering, geography, computer science) to work with our Asset Management and GIS division for the summer. Some of the duties include fixing parcel data, standardizing roads and addressing to best practices, and the creation of web tools to use cleaned data. This is a great learning opportunity for students interested in GIS to get real world experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post secondary student, enrolled in a technical field (e.g., GIS, engineering, geography, computer science);
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs;
- Strong attention to detail is required to ensure data accuracy;
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check completed prior to commencing work; and
- Must be available for the duration of the summer.
HOURS OF WORK AND RATE OF PAY
Rate of Pay : $27.45 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
Anticipated Start Date : May 1, 2025
Hours of Work : 37.5 hours per week
