WSP has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Yellowknife Office on a full-time basis. You’ll be part of a vibrant local team of scientists, engineers, and project managers. You’ll be managing a variety of projects and clients simultaneously, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Projects are related to environmental assessments, regulatory support, remediation, infrastructure, and mining.

What you can expect to do here :
You will be participating in a team environment, working closely with Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors / Technical Leads, and Field Technicians / Scientists / Engineers.You’ll be managing relationships with internal and external clients and ensuring that their needs are understood and met, providing your guidance and expertise.You will be responsible for Project’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) planning, which includes working with clients on field requirements, reviewing documentation, attending pre- and post-field meetings, and site visits.As a project manager, you will control and monitor the progress of projects with respect to scope, schedule, budget, quality, etc. and implement change as appropriate.You will support the team with responding to requests for proposals, developing work scopes, budgets, and schedules, as well as acting as a proposal manager.You will be responsible for SharePoint and file management, and quality control of documentation and systems.You will have opportunities to work with Indigenous partners and contribute to business development.You will be responsible for delegating work such as budget management tasks to Project Coordinators and will review their work.What you’ll bring to WSP :
University or equivalent Degree in Environmental Management, Ecology, Engineering or related natural / earth sciences.5+ years of relevant experience.Valid PMP certification is preferred.Excellent communication skills, ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace / possess a safety-conscious attitude.Attention to detail and willingness to learn.High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.Experience in engineering or environmental consulting is an asset.J-18808-Ljbffr
