In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Clinical Nurse Educator practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), as well as within a person and family centered care model. The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for identifying, planning, compiling, and delivering training sessions for staff to assist them in meeting their key competencies in compliance with scope. Compiles, implements, and evaluates general and unit specific Orientation and Education programs for the staff. Facilitates the development and ongoing maintenance of the department’s preceptorship / mentorship programs. Participates in the on-going review and revision of patient care standards, policies and procedures and coordinates the in-service programs aimed at meeting the continuing educational needs of staff.
- Applicants must have 3 years recent experience working in an Emergency dept. setting
- Applicants must have a Specialty education certificate in Emergency care
