Registered Clinical Counselor - Lifemark 64th Avenue, Langley, BC

  • Location : Lifemark 64th Avenue, Langley, BC
  • Hybrid team environment is available
  • 20-30 hours / week (Part Time up to Full Time)
  • Compensation models include hourly and Fee for Service ($38.00-$55.00 / hr)

Responsibilities :

  • Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
  • Adopt a goal-focussed, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
  • Delivery quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.

    • Licensing :

  • Master’s degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology from an accredited University
  • Registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors or with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association

    • Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor
  • Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients
  • Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief / loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues
  • Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset
  • Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT)
  • Experience working as part of a multi / interdisciplinary team
  • Experience preparing assessment, progress and discharge reports
  • Hybrid : This counsellor will be attached to the Langley clinic, with ability to be in-person (preferred) on Tuesday and Friday at Lifemark 64th Avenue
