Full time (30 hours / week) salaried nanny / housekeeper job, split between two families (10 minute walk between houses). Drivers license required.Family one : two kids (6 and 4 years old), two dogs. Kids are in full-time school / daycare. Dad works outside home full time; mom is self-employed. Duties are 70% housekeeping, 30% childcare (childcare coverage when kids are home sick, childcare a few mornings or after schools a week, occasional weekend childcare replacing weekday work by mutual agreement).Family two : two kids (6 and 2 years old). Kids are in full-time school / daycare. Dad is a nurse with shift work; mom works downtown full time and must travel. Duties are 50% childcare, 50% housekeeping. When mom is away, nanny must get kids ready and to school when dad has a morning shift; must pick kids up, take them to activities, do dinner, and put to bed when dad has an evening shift; and must be available for full days on weekends (mornings or evenings) when dad works. When mom is home, duties are split between housekeeping and childcare, especially getting kids to and from school / daycare / activities. Requirements :

• Drivers license; willing to drive family’s car with kids
• Flexible schedule. Family two’s needs vary with dad’s shift schedule and mom’s travel schedule. The two families work together to create a schedule for the nanny weeks-to-months in advance
• Good communicator, well organized.
• Loves kids – fun, safe, sets limits, participates in play, imaginative, etc
• Likes dogs; willing to walk dogs (family 1 has dogs)
• Attentive to detail and self directed / motivated with housekeeping
• Willing and able to cook
