The Job You Will Perform :
Position Scope :
The Chemical Engineer EIT is an entry-level (depending upon previous experience) technical resource within the operations teams supporting one of the Grande Prairie mill’s operation business units. The operational business units encompass all processes for our Kraft pulp mill located in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The position requires relocation to Grande Prairie. The candidate must have reliable transportation. The mill is located approximately 12 km south of the City Grande Prairie.
Position Responsibilities :
The Chemical Engineer-In-Training will work closely with a variety of functional groups throughout the mill including operations, maintenance, reliability, capital engineering, manufacturing excellence and management.
- Lead problem trouble shooting while utilizing reliability and ME skills set; RCFA, FMEA, 5 Why, Kepner Tregoe, Driver Tree, etc.
- Support the mill and business unit to advance 5S program by facilitating or coaching 5S improvement teams
- Project management and coordination
- Identify, develop, manage and deliver sustainable cost savings projects targeted at achieving year over year cost reduction performance through :
Multiple capital projects
