We're looking for a nanny to care for our happy, active 12-mo baby boy and fun, inquisitive 3-year old girl Monday to Thursday, while we are at work. We are looking for someone who will teach them about the world, explore, play with them and care for them. The ideal fit would be someone who gets joy from children, embraces life on the North Shore and loves getting outside and exploring - rain or shine, doesn't take life too seriously and loves to travel. You also have a strong sense of responsibility and accountability. Our parenting style is loving, kind, supportive and encouraging so that our children grow up with a strong sense of self confidence, the freedom to explore and make mistakes, learn about the world around them but know that we are there when they need us. We’re looking for someone who can help us foster this environment for them and be our partner in their care. - Having experience with children is required- You would be responsible for mealtimes, naps, play time, daily walks and preschool pick-ups and drop-offs three mornings a week, tidying up after play time and meals- Three of the four days a week, our 3-year old has preschool from 8 : 45 AM to 11 : 45 AM- The kids’ nap / quiet time is 1 : 00 PM to 3 : 00 PM - You would be encouraged to go outside to the nearby park, beach, or community centre or even the backyard for daily activities and outings- We are located within walking distance of beaches, parks, trails, coffee shop / grocery store and a short 3-min drive to Parkgate Community Centre and Deep Cove Village (where the preschool is located)- It would be a bonus if you also enjoy cooking (like we do!) and would be interested in helping with some of the dinner prep- A car is necessary for preschool drop off and pickups- Time : 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 30 PM, Monday-Thursday- Start Date : August or September ASAP- Children : 12-mo baby boy and 3-yr girl- we will be working downtown but one of us might be working from our home office one day a week- COVID vaccine requiredPlease visit CanadianNanny.ca to view full details and to apply.
