Project Location : Mississauga (Hybrid / 3 days office & 2 days work from home)

Nature of Contract – Contract Role

JOB DESCRIPTION : Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement backend services and APIs using Java.
  • Develop and maintain database structures and optimize queries.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Qualifications :

  • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+).
  • Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
