IRIS direct end client which is one of the Investment banking company is urgently looking to hire Java Backend Developer – Mississauga (Hybrid). This is a Contract opportunity.

Project Location : Mississauga (Hybrid / 3 days office & 2 days work from home)

Nature of Contract – Contract Role

JOB DESCRIPTION : Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement backend services and APIs using Java.
Develop and maintain database structures and optimize queries.
Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of applications.
Collaborate with frontend developers and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Qualifications :

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+).

Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).

Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).

Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Experience with version control systems (Git).

Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker).

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
