Job description

A company specializing in logistics and transport is looking for an Area Manager. This world-renowned company is setting up in Ontario in the Ajax area and is looking to build the best team. The Area Manager possesses excellent management skills. This person will always be focused on achieving and surpassing objectives of the area, with high ethical standards. The perfect fit is someone who is customer-focused.

The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance of a specific area of the site, ensuring the well-being and safety of the team, and developing continuous improvement plans. This role involves managing staff, setting goals, and ensuring that the site meets customer objectives. The Area Manager also focuses on fostering good customer relationships and upholding high-quality standards

Schedule : Day and evening shift (possibility of overtime)

Responsibilities

The area manager has to :

  • Be responsible of the day-to-day management of the site, overseeing the operation that focuses on the delivery of the area.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the team to reach the objectives.
  • Increase productivity and maintain high service standards.
  • Developing continuous improvement plans.
  • Focuses on fostering good customer relationships and upholding high-quality standards.
  • Contribute to maintaining an efficient, well-trained and motivated workforce.
  • Qualifications

    The Area manager must have :

  • University studies in a relevant field (administration, management, human resources).
  • Management experience.
  • Warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of logistics and the supply chain.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Highly-developed skills in health and safety at work.
